7Cost of physicals vary depending on insurance coverage or no coverage. According to the insurance informant.com, for patients without health insurance, an annual physical typically costs $200. Supervised Experiential Learning sites do not currently require drug testing. If a site requires drug testing in the future, the cost would be the responsibility of the student. The price of drug testing varies but is generally $50 to $100 per test performed at a laboratory according to Ovus Medical.

Financial aid and loan deferment
The program falls under the regular Graduate College and is part of all Title IV financial aid programs governed by the University of Iowa as a whole. Students are eligible for any applicable financial aid and/or loan deferment. All financial assistance is administered by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
Scholarships
The Department of Food and Nutrition Services provides scholarship awards ranging in value from $500 to $3,000 to deserving students at the graduation ceremony at the end of the program.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation provides scholarships ranging in value from $500 to $25,000 to deserving students at all levels of study.
